The EERA Joint Programme on Photovoltaic Solar Energy (JP PV) is pleased to launch the first edition of the EERA JP PV Excellence in Photovoltaics Award, recognising outstanding achievements in photovoltaic research, innovation, and impact within the JP PV community.

As photovoltaics continue to play a key role in Europe's energy transition, the award aims to highlight excellent work, promote visibility, and strengthen collaboration across the European PV research and innovation ecosystem.

• JP PV PhD Award
• JP PV Innovation & Impact Award

Award Details

For each category:

• One winner (€2,000 prize)
• Up to three finalists
• Travel and accommodation support up to €500 per person

Finalists will showcase their work during the EERA JP PV Workshop in Rome, with the winners announced live at the Award Ceremony on 25 November 2026.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be affiliated with a JP PV member organisation
• Submit work published, completed, or publicly demonstrated from 1 January 2023 onwards
• Apply with work relevant to photovoltaic research, innovation, manufacturing, sustainability, system integration, or deployment

Eligible submissions may include scientific publications, conference papers, research projects, demonstrators, technological developments, and industrial innovations.

• 15 September 2026 – Application Deadline
• End of September / Beginning of October 2026 – Notification of Finalists
• 25 November 2026 – Finalist Presentations and Award Ceremony
