We are thrilled to announce the publication of the 2025 Overview of the EERA Joint Programme on Photovoltaic Solar Energy: a completely new initiative that brings together the achievements of our member organisations across Europe. This Annual Overview brings together a wealth of research, innovation, and applied projects in photovoltaics, highlighting the breadth and impact of the JP PV network.
This Annual Overview showcases a wide range of contributions, from cutting-edge research workshops like TandemPV, ISOS 16, and BecomePV, to practical demonstrations such as the integrated solar cell test field in Genk, Belgium. It also highlights pioneering projects including sustainable solar energy solutions for the Einstein Telescope, advanced PV-integrated electrolysers for water splitting, and nature-integrated PV systems that combine energy production with ecological benefits in agricultural and protected areas. Readers will find detailed summaries of collaborations, project milestones, knowledge exchange activities, and community engagement, providing a comprehensive snapshot of the network’s impact in 2025.
This initiative is a first-of-its-kind effort, designed to amplify the work of our members, giving visibility to their research, innovations, and achievements across Europe. It also serves as a testament to the speed and cohesion with which the JP PV network can mobilize, collecting, editing, and presenting information in a clear, unified format in record time. From when the idea first arose to its publication, including preparation, design, and editing, everything was completed in only eight weeks.
