BECOME PV 2025: A Successful Gathering of the Photovoltaics Community

After nearly six months of preparation, BECOME PV 2025 brought together leading experts, researchers, and industry professionals from across the photovoltaic sector. The second edition of this workshop unfolded over two intensive and inspiring days, fostering both knowledge exchange and meaningful networking opportunities.

With over 60 participants, the event created a dynamic and interactive environment. The sessions, carefully curated by the BECOME PV Scientific Committee, covered a wide spectrum of topics, including perovskite chemistry, tandem scaling, organic PV innovation, manufacturing upscaling, and policy levers across the full PV value chain. The diversity of expertise in the room led to rich, forward-looking discussions and valuable collaborative exchanges.

A defining feature of BECOME PV 2025 was the active engagement of the community. Participants contributed insights, shared experiences, and explored opportunities for collaboration. Informal moments, such as coffee breaks, lunch at the venue, and the group dinner at the restaurant, further enhanced these interactions, allowing attendees to connect beyond the formal sessions and build lasting professional relationships.

While the scientific content was guided by the committee, EERA JP PV took care of all other aspects of organisation, from logistics and communication to participant support, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for everyone.

We are particularly grateful to our sponsors, TSE TROLLER AG and the VALHALLA project, whose support made this edition possible and enabled a platform that fosters collaboration and the commercialisation of emerging PV technologies.

Beyond the technical program, participants also enjoyed social activities, including a visit to the Belgian Beer World museum, further strengthening the sense of community and engagement.

Overall, BECOME PV 2025 was a true celebration of the PV sector: a space for innovation, dialogue, and collaboration. We thank all participants for their contributions and look forward to building on this success in future editions!
