The European Solar Photovoltaic Industry Alliance is an important tool of the European Union to achieve the objectives of the European Solar Strategy. Achieving the strategy’s and the alliance’s targets will require a strong European solar manufacturing base including the entire value chain, specifically the research and innovation sector which remains one of the EU’s main competitive advantages in the PV space, critical to fostering energy security.

With an exceptionally strong solar R&D landscape and the most advanced equipment providers, it will be essential to leverage existing European R&D resources and know-how to advance these technologies. The conference will highlight how policy, supply chain factors, research and innovation, international trade, economic growth and environmental and climate concerns can deliver the resurgence of a European solar supply chain.
